Ban Credit Card Use for Lottery

HB4149 would ban the use of credit for purchase of lottery tickets. The lottery is the most common form of gambling in Illinois, and while the Gaming Board has banned credit card use for other forms of gambling, it still is allowed for the lottery. This means addicted people are able to gamble with money they don’t actually have, which increases risk. This bill would change that.
